OUR MISSION

We are a charity that uses cricket, and the spirit of the game, as a tool for positive social change in Rwanda.

Cricket Builds Hope harnesses the power of sport to promote reconciliation through social programmes. We integrate this incredible game with workshops that focus on equality, empowerment and social cohesion. There is no limit to the amount of impact the spirit of the game can have as long we continue to focus on building hope.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY EQUALITY?

We want to create an 'equal playing field' and use cricket to break down gender barriers.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY EMPOWERMENT?

Through tailored programmes we are looking to build self-confidence and maximise the potential of our beneficiaries.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY SOCIAL COHESION?

Since the Rwandan Genocide in 1994, cricket has proved to be a powerful tool aiding reconciliation. Our programmes focus on inclusion, unity and a sense of community.
